Alliant Energy and M.J. Electric are converting overhead electric lines to underground between Jacolyn Dr. NW and Wiley Blvd. NW on the northwest side of Cedar Rapids. This will ensure safe and reliable service to the neighborhood.
This project is on hold due to a nationwide transformer shortage. The project will begin again when transformers become available.
Following construction, necessary repairs to restore property will be made as efficiently as possible. For questions on property restoration, please call M.J. Electric at (906) 239-0803.
