Find and Fix - Pumps

If you’re looking for efficient, high-performing pumps, but don’t want the headaches associated with shutting down or dismantling your pumping systems, the Find and Fix – Pumps program may be just what you’re looking for.

What does Find and Fix fix?

Commercial and industrial customers are offered similar, yet customized tracks to help improve the efficiency of their pumps. All participants will benefit from an assessment and an action plan complete with improvements. Commercial customers will receive an assessment of two to five of their HVAC pumps. Industrial customers will receive an assessment of one to five pumps of their choice.

How it works

  1. An assessor will review your facility operations and the selected pumps to create a plan for your system.
  2. Strategies may include installation or optimization of variable frequency drives, impellor trimming or pump motor replacement.
  3. The action plan will be reviewed remotely with you and your pump contractor.
  4. Your contractor will then implement the improvements and provide proof of implementation to the assessor.
  5. All you have to do is make your facility available to the assessor and schedule your pump contractor.

Cost

Alliant Energy will pay for the assessment. Strategies implemented may be eligible for rebates.

Minimum requirements

  • Individual pumps must be at least 5 hp each
  • Collectively, the pumps to be assessed must total a minimum of 30 hp
  • Pumps must operate at least 4,000 hours per year

Find and Fix - Automated Systems

If your building could benefit from improved performance, but you don’t want to incur any unwanted expenses, the Find and Fix – Automated Systems program may be just what you’re looking for.

What does Find and Fix fix?

Like cars and people, building HVAC control systems require checkups and maintenance to perform at their best. The Find and Fix – Automated Systems program offers an automated systems checkup for the busy facility manager. This quick, proactive solution helps reduce overhead costs, complaints and chronic repairs.

How it works

  1. An assessor will review your facility operations, automated systems settings and a few other key metrics to create your solution plan.
  2. The strategies identified in the plan will be reviewed remotely with you and your controls contractor.
  3. The assessor will accompany your contractor as they implement the approved plan and will be available to answer questions.
  4. Strategies are verified as they are implemented.
  5. All you have to do is commit to implement the plan and make your facility available to the assessor and controls contractor.

Cost

Alliant Energy will pay for the assessment, verification and your contractor’s time (up to $2,000) to implement the strategies.

Who benefits?

  • Buildings with a PC-linked building automation or controls system less than 10 years old
  • Buildings with recent operation changes that may require resetting the system
  • Buildings with multiple HVAC systems
