For our residential and business customers in Iowa

Getting a rebate for your energy-efficient upgrade just got easier. You no longer need to fill out a claim form to receive a rebate when you buy qualified equipment through our Instant Discount program.

How does the program work?

When you purchase and install select, qualified equipment, you’ll receive an instant discount at the point of purchase. We provide the energy efficiency rebate up front, so you pay a lower price for your purchase right away. You’ll see the rebate on your equipment receipt.*

*Installers and contractors must purchase qualified equipment through a participating distributor to receive the instant discount. Equipment that is not purchased through a participating dealer is not eligible for the instant discount.

What type of equipment is included?

Energy-efficient equipment sold by our participating distributors must meet the following qualifications to be eligible for the instant rebate:

Residential Instant Discount equipment qualifications

Residential air conditioners

Units less than 65,000 Btu/hr.
Central air conditioner must be listed in the current AHRI directory.
Minimum efficiency of SEER 16 and EER 13, or SEER2 15.2 and EER 11.96.
Must be an Alliant Energy electric customer.
